Powhatan County Prayer Walk 2026

Our mission is to uplift our children and schools (public, private, homeschooling, & daycare) through prayer, in seeking a spiritual awaking, protection, and blessings for every child in our county and for those involved in their education. Together, co-laboring with our God and Savior, we walk in faith, united in purpose towards a brighter future for our community.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV)
... if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Event Day Info
4:00 PM - Meet at the Pocahontas Landmark Center (4290 Anderson Hwy), next to the Pocahontas Elementary School. This will be a time to come together in one mind and have united prayer. There will be a table with kids activities, coolers with water, prayer cards, a place for non-walkers, and some good friends.
After a united prayer time, individuals can go to one of four locations to pray. There will designated leaders for each prayer location.

The Locations for the Prayer Walk are:
1. Powhatan School Board Office & Pocahontas Elementary
2. Powhatan Elementary & Powhatan Middle School
3. Flat Rock Elementary
4. Powhatan High School
Church Participation
We are encouraging all Christian Churches to participate. This is a united effort for a spiritual work by the hand of God. Participation may include joining the prayer walk at one of the schools, leading a prayer group at a location, and/or setting up a table providing information about your church. Interested?
