Taking the Light to the World
Missions & Outreach Ministries
Jesus called His Church to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19). As children of light, we are to spread the light of truth, even being light and salt in this world (Matthew 5:13-14). Jesus told his disciples to be witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. We use this pattern to take the light near and across the world. We have an emphasis locally (our Jerusalem), we reach across the state (Judea), across the nation (Samaria), and around the world.
Below are the main partnerships we support and participate with in our goal to take the light and love of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to those in need.
Muddy Creek Baptist Church Live Nativity Pageant has been an outreach in Powhatan County for over 40 years. Each year hundreds of individuals and families come and hear the Gospel of Jesus presented in narration and music with a cast and crew of over 30 volunteers.
Kid's
Ministry
MCBC Kids is our weekly discipleship for children with Sunday School and Children's Church. This ministry has special events throughout the year that include family movie nights, outdoor Easter celebrations, Christmas pageants, and more.
Reaching out to the families and children in our area is a part of our local missions emphasis. Vacation Bible School; Girls In Action (GA); and Trail Life for Boys.

Powhatan
We partner with hands-on and financial support The Coalition of Powhatan Churches, The Powhatan Christmas Mother, and the Powhatan Food Pantry work to help the needs of our neighbors with temporary needs.
Offering free medical care for the uninsured and low-income residents in the community.
Meno Life is located in Cumberland, VA. It is place where those who are broken and stuck-to drug abuse, alcohol abuse, or anything else destructive-experience healing and freedom.
Hills & Hollers is a mission work that serves communities, churches, and other ministries in the Appalachians of Kentucky.
Southeast Asia translation ministry teams and translation projects.
Our support with Samaritan's Purse is year round, especially in the relief work in South Sudan.
Helping to make the Word of God available to everyone and, together with the local church, reaching souls for Christ.
We are partnered with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia and the Southern Baptist Convention. Through these ministries we support state, national, and international missions.
